Farms and Orchards

Numerous local farms and orchards yield a bounty of fresh fruits, vegetables, organic meats, honey, cider, apple butter, jellies, jams, mushrooms, flowers, and an array of other delights. Some farms offer pick-your-own experiences during the growing season, while others showcase unique offerings such as lavender and herbs, goats and sheep, alpacas, edible plants, hops, vinegars, baked goods, and much more.

Visit the NELSON FARMERS MARKET on Saturday mornings, May through October, where a community of farmers and artisans showcase their products under the big white tent in the village of Nellysford, just minutes down the road from the Tucked Inn. On Wednesday afternoons, the VILLAGE OF LOVINGSTON FARMERS MARKET offers local produce, baked goods and more.

Out of season, visit the INDOOR COMMUNITY MARKET at Rockfish Valley Community Center, featuring local produce, meats, cheeses, jams, baked goods, plants, greenery, and arts and crafts items. (First Saturdays in Nov., Dec., Feb. Mar. and April).
